Well I use quite a lot of different kinds of, say tools, depending on the situation, so here is a list:

Cameras:

1. Mamiya 645 Pro Tl: This would be the Flagship of my arsenal! Some nice professional scanning and the 250 mb tiff is insurmountable in quality by any other camera I have.

2. Canon EOS 30-D: I love this camera for its excellent quality and the mere ease of use. I can concentrate totlly on aesthetics and the camera gives me total control I need. I usually use it along with its film cousin.

3. Canon EOS 30(Film): I use less often than its digital cousin. But I still feel that 80 mb tiff I get from a 35 mm film negative is better than its digital cousin in many respects.

4. Canon Powershot S50: This is the camera that always stays in my backpack or side pocket for those random moments that just happen.

5. Yashica MAT 124G: I love it and use it for sake of it. It used to bewilder me earlier with its lateral inversion but now I just load it with film and wander into streets and let people wonder what time machine I am carrying with me! Shooting with this beauty, I would say, is always a fulfilling experience.

6. Nokia N72: I have got some of my very nice shots with this 3.2 mega pixel, very good in its own right, camera. Though I use it just when I don't have any other camera that I can lay my hands on, but still Nokia has not done a bad job at all.

Lenses:

1. Mamiya SEKOR 150 mm 1:3.5
2. Mamiya SEKOR 80 mm 1:2.8
3. Mamiya SEKOR 55 mm 1:2.8
All these are lovely lenses, and go with my Mamiya 645 Pro Tl.

4. Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 EX Aspherical DG DF
Undoubtedly the sharpest and fastest zoom lens I think I am going to own for some time to come. My most used lens with both EOS 30-D and EOS 30 Film.

5. AF70-300mm F/4-5.6 Di LD 1:2 Macro
I wont say I love it but this is the best at this price for this focal length range. Probably the next in line to be replaced by a nice Canon L series glass as soon I have some money.

6. Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6
My first Lens and the one I learnt a lot of stuff with. I rarely use it these days but has a emotional place in my kit.

Tripods:

1. Simpex Photo and Video Tripod
It is heavy to carry but delightfully stable and also quite cheap considering the performance.
2. Manfrotto 718B
Light but stable. Ideal companion for my smaller excursions.

Laptops:
1. Ibook G4 1.42 GHz 2 GB RAM
2. Macbook 2.0 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 2 GB RAM
Lets just say, I adore mac and the macbook increasingly is my companion on my shooting trips.

Storage Devices:
1. Maxtor 160 GB
2. Seagate 100 GB
3. A spindle of DVDs.
Fortunately or unfortunately ,I have read electronics enough to never be able to trust my digital photos stored at only one place, I keep minimum two digital copies always!

Bags/Cases:
Case Logic DSLR/Laptop bag.
Carry Case for Medium Format System.
Separate carry cases for all the cameras.

They are as important as anything, especially while traveling.

Scanning:
I go for professional scanning and that means 250 mb tiff scans from my Mamiya negatives/slides and 80 mb tiff scans from 35 mm film.

Last but most important- be alone when shooting, by alone I mean that there should be only you at the place where you are shooting, everything else is a potential subject. Of course, you can be alone in a crowd of a million!
